Summer enginering programs are open to students from all backgrounds, but one aims to attract Hispanic and Native American students, particularly from poor economic backgrounds.
Staff, faculty and students at the College of Engineering recently won three Science & Engineering Excellence awards, which were presented at the SEE banquet in April 2009.
The senior capstone program gives students experience working on real-world design projects that involve budgets, reviews and deadlines. Many of the projects go on to yield patented commercial products.
