Arizona Company Using Solar Tech to Create Drinking Water
Most of Arizona gets its drinking water from underground aquifers or rivers, which are reliant on adequate rain or snow melt.
Vanessa Barchfield shows us how the Phoenix-based Zero Mass Water is exploring ways to create drinking water by using solar technology.
She also spoke to water researcher and University of Arizona assistant professor Andrea Achilli, from the UA Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering -- he also works at the Water & Energy Sustainable Technology, or WEST, Center -- about how other organizations are pursuing similar initiatives.
