About 500 engineering freshmen turned up the heat on the UA Mall Oct. 11 at the annual College of Engineering Solar Oven Throw Down. Their objective was not to bake biscuits, though they tried, but to test if their oven designs performed according to the thermodynamic modeling they conducted earlier in class.
