The University of Arizona and Hill Air Force Base in Utah have created an Education Partnership that establishes collaborations for internships, Interdisciplinary Capstone projects, student training as part of the new Defense Civilian Training Corps program, and potentially faculty research. Representatives from Hill visited campus July 11 to sign the agreement and tour engineering labs.
“I’m really excited to see the University of Arizona on board with us. The institution’s history of research is tremendous,” said Edward Ayer, senior executive service director, Air Force Sustainment Center, Hill Air Force Base, who signed the agreement for Hill.
David Hahn, the Craig M. Berge Dean of the College of Engineering, signed the agreement on behalf of the university. “When I look at Hill’s broad portfolio, we have so many opportunities to collaborate around education. We’re excited to have this day. It’s really an honor for this university,” he said.
