Reimagined Textbooks Adapt to Student Learning
One UA associate professor has put a modern spin on an old classic — the textbook — by using zyBooks in his electrical and computer engineering courses.
Through his involvement in edtech startup zyBooks, Roman Lysecky, associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has brought online, interactive books, into UA STEM classrooms.
It seems that the textbook is less and less students’ go-to source of information. So maybe the traditional style of textbook isn’t translating very well to some of the modern teaching practices.”
