February 14-20 is E-Week, proudly presented by the UA Engineering Student Council.

E-Week is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated engineering workforce by increasing the awareness of engineering and technology careers among all university students.

This year, E-Week events will take place from Sunday, Feb. 14, through Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, on and around the University of Arizona campus. The celebration of E-Week 2010 involves a week of events set up and organized by 17 of the various engineering clubs, organizations, and societies within the UA College of Engineering.

Students will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in a variety of events, including Engineering Jeopardy, Mr. & Ms. Engineering Pageant, community service activities, and a softball tournament.

On Friday, Feb. 19, a dunk tank, food drive, Design and Build Competition, and Rock Drilling Competition will take place on the UA Mall from noon to 4 p.m.

Participating student clubs will be awarded points based on their participation and performance in each event during the week, including community service. At the E-Week closing ceremonies on Saturday, Feb. 20, the top three clubs will be awarded cash prizes.

The University of Arizona's largest student-run career fair, the College of Engineering 18th Annual Engineering Industry Expo, or iExpo, will be held in the Student Union north ballroom on Feb. 16.

The iExpo provides a relaxed venue for corporations and government agencies to demonstrate their products and services to engineering students, and possible future employees. iExpo is open to all UA students, and is sponsored by Sargent Controls and Aerospace, which is currently looking for summer interns with career goals in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, industrial, and materials science engineering.

E-Week is sponsored by Motorola, ASUA, Lockheed Martin, Texas Instruments, and the UA Engineering Student Council.
