Without basic computer skills, finding or applying for a job may stall at step one: submitting an application online or sending an e-mail of interest.
To help bridge the technological gap, University of Arizona students will offer free computer training classes to the public on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Harvill Building room 105.
The classes will be taught in English and Spanish by members of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, a UA student club. The event, sponsored by IBM, has become an annual affair that the 100-plus members of the club organize and manage.
