Aerospace Reps to Researchers: Collaborate for Strength

March 28, 2011
About 150 researchers from three universities and representatives from more than two dozen of Arizona's aerospace and defense industries met on campus late last week to compare projects and gain insight into future technological needs for aerospace and defense.

Attendees of the second meeting of the Aerospace and Defense Research Collaboratory, or ADRC, were reminded that strength lies in numbers, and the more the collaboration works together to meet future U.S. technology needs, the more effective a statewide consortium of university and industry can be.

The ADRC Workshop, which attracted approximately 150 researchers from three universities together with representatives from more than two dozen of Arizona's aerospace and defense industries, compared projects, gained insight into future technological needs for aerospace and defense, and agreed that the best approach for the state was to work together. The workshop met on the University of Arizona campus March 25.
